Bourbon is both a Kentucky legacy and the fastest growing industry in the Commonwealth. As a Kentucky company, Burkhart is very proud of the work we’ve crafted with area distilleries over the years. We love knowing that our work is a fixture along the Bourbon Trail alongside the spectacular craftsmanship of Kentucky bourbon artisans. Whether your distillery is brand new or a century old—when you’re building a luxury customer experience, it’s a no-brainer to work with a cabinet company who has decades of experience marrying old-fashioned craftsmanship and modern ideas.
We recently had the chance to revisit two of these locations where our work is featured in customer experience areas:
Jeptha Creed Distillery
Jeptha Creed expanded their welcome center in 2022 to hold a tasting area, bar, and gift shop. We collaborated with Jeptha Creed’s designers to bring the space to life. All the casework you’ll see while enjoying a visit to Jeptha Creed is a Burkhart original, from the gleaming bar top to the stylized live-edge shelves prominently displaying Jeptha Creed spirits.

Woodford Reserve Visitor’s Center – Versailles, KY
Woodford Reserve recently revamped their distillery tour experience, in part by opening space in their Visitor’s Center and moving the tastings from the beginning of the tour to the end. This new setup offers a more immersive customer experience and increases appreciation for the bourbon story. Burkhart collaborated with Woodford’s designers, architects, and the other sub-contractors to create this beautiful custom bar, countertops, and bar back cabinetry, which highlights rarer spirits with its embedded LED lighting. We also built custom saloon-style passage doors that separate staff areas from customer areas, using reclaimed heart pine to seamlessly match the existing paneling.
