OUR VALUES
At Burkhart Company, our pride and determination make us who we are and contribute to why we do what we do so successfully. It’s our belief in providing you with a truly personal and high-quality product. The core of our passion for this industry is in making our customers’ ideas and dreams come to a reality from kitchens to bars to bathrooms to display cabinets and commercial projects.

Step 1
Initial Discovery/Consultation
You meet with a project manager to chat about what you’re looking for. We make a site visit to take measurements and get an idea of the space. With the help of inspiration photos or sketches, we’ll give you an initial price.

Step 2
Design and Selections
We collect a design deposit and get to work putting your vision to paper. We create full architectural drawings and render images of what the finished project will look like, and revise based on your feedback until you’re satisfied. This step may take longer depending on how many revisions of drawings we go through; you can expect roughly 2 weeks for the first version of drawings and 1 week for every additional version. Your price will be finalized during this process and will be revised as needed.

Step 3
Approvals & Signed Contract
Once you’re happy with your drawings and all materials and finishes have been finalized, we’ll provide you with final pricing for approval. You sign off on your drawings and your project enters our production queue.

Step 4
Production Begins
Your cabinets are engineered for cutout on our CNC and build in our shop. We order materials and the project is planned for production. At this point, we provide you with an estimated install date based on our current shop load.

Step 5
Build
One of our expert craftsmen builds your project.

Step 6
Finish
Once the job is built in full, it moves to our finish room and receives an initial quality control check by our finisher. Then, cabinets are prepped for finish and paints or stains are applied.

Step 7
Quality Control & Hardware
When finishes are complete, the builder installs the required hinges, drawer slides, and any cabinet inserts and completes a quality control checklist. Then, our shop foreman completes a second quality control review. Once all cabinets pass and any errors are corrected, the job is ready to prep for installation.

Step 8
Installation
We deliver and install your cabinetry. Depending on the size and complexity of the job, this process could anywhere from one day to two weeks. Your project manager will communicate projected install duration upon scheduling.

Step 9
Finished Project
Once your installation is complete, we perform necessary adjustments and touchups. Then, your project manager walks through the project with you and ensures that there are no more issues.
FAQ
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we get from our customers before, throughout, and after their home project. Burkhart Company is here to answer all your questions.
Where do I start with my kitchen remodel?
Everything starts with an idea—with a dream, with a Pinterest board, with the words “I want that.” We can help you every step of the way when it comes to your dream kitchen cabinets. Please note, however, that depending on your scope of work, you may want to check out a designer or remodeler before coming to us.
Can you help me design my dream kitchen?
Short answer: yes! If you’re redoing your kitchen cabinets, we are more than happy to do as much as we can for you. The long answer is, though, it depends. A designer and/or remodeler can be very useful, if you’re doing more than replacing your current cabinets. If you’re not sure where to start looking for someone, though, talk to us anyway and we can help get you in touch with the right people for your dream kitchen.
How long will my project take?
Our design process is one to two weeks and our projects generally are ready eight weeks from the approved design.
Do you import your plantation shutters?
No, we do not! Our plantation shutters are American-made, in-house in our workshop. Your shutters will be local and completely customized to your home.
How long will my new cabinets last?
Several decades. Our custom cabinets will last for as long as you take care of them.
How much should I expect to spend on my kitchen remodel?
We offer high-quality materials as a good cost, but it depends on how much you are doing and what you want. Typically the kitchen in your home should be 10-15% of your home value, which means if you’re doing a full remodel, that’s about how much you should expect to spend.
Do I need a designer or remodeler or can Burkhart help with our entire project?
It depends on the scope of your work. It is usually helpful to have other professionals involved if you are doing big, full remodels. Our specialty is custom cabinets, while theirs is more broad. If you are doing a complete remodel, then you’re going to need to consult a remodeler about tearing out and rearranging your kitchen. If you’re redesigning, a designer can help you pick what elements you want in your kitchen and put it all together.
